Accounts Assistant

Location: Grimsby & Cleethorpes

Job Description: This is an excellent opportunity for an accounts minded individual to join a well-established practice. The successful candidate will undertake a broad range of general accounts duties and data input, whilst always ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.

Responsibilities

  • Processing and posting of incoming/outgoing payments
  • Resolving accounts queries with third parties, clients and other employees
  • Daily bank account reconciliations
  • Nominal ledger postings
  • Banking
  • TT/CHAPs, BACS & Faster payments via electronic banking
  • Assisting with Aged Debt and recovery
  • Following the Solicitors Accounts Rules

The Candidate

  • GCSE / A Level in Maths is essential
  • Experience of working within a law firm is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication and client care skills will be crucial
  • Good organisational, time management and IT skills are necessary
  • Strives for high standards in their work
  • Works well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
